HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT Yesterday afternoon at 1:55, the City Police Service was called by a citizen on a cell phone. The caller had witnessed a hit-and-run accident and was following the vehicle that had left the scene.

Yesterday afternoon at 1:55, the City Police Service was called by a citizen on a cell phone. The caller had witnessed a hit-and-run accident and was following the vehicle that had left the scene. Police intercepted and arrested Robert Hrynkiw, age 32, of Bloor Street West.

He was charge with impaired driving and failing to remain at the scene of an accident. It is alleged that Hrynkiw hit a car in the parking lot of an apartment building on Goulais Avenue and then struck another vehicle on Goulais near the Second Line. Damage to the vehicles was minimal. Hrynkiw was arrested on Conmee Avenue.
