On the 28th August 2016 at approximately 3 a.m., the city Police attended in the area of Albert Street East for a report of a disturbance.

On the 28th August 2016 at approximately 3 a.m., the city Police attended in the area of Albert Street East for a report of a disturbance. Police interviewed several witnesses and upon further investigation it was revealed that a young male in his early 20’s had been struck by a motor vehicle and received non-life threatening injuries. The male suspect fled the scene prior to Police arrival, this incident is still under investigation and ongoing at this time.

On the 28th August 2016 at approximately 3 a.m. the city Police spoke to young male witness while investigating a report of an assault. A further check on the male revealed that he was breaching his court ordered recognizance and was wanted on an outstanding warrant. As a result, Brendan Stewart, age 22 of Blind River, was arrested for failing to reside at his residence, breaching his curfew, consuming alcohol and failing to attend court. Brendan Stewart will be in video bail court today in relation to these charges.

On the 28th August 2016 at approximately 10 a.m., City Police were called to the area of Northland Road for a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival Police found a male and female present that were wanted on outstanding warrants. As a result, Police arrested a Ralph Carricato, age 45, for failure to attend court and also a female, age 29, for theft under, mischief and multiple failures to appear court.
