Yesterday at 8:00 p.m. police responded to a 9-1-1 call about a stabbing at 54 Cathcart Street. Officers and paramedics found a male victim suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was taken to hospital by ambulance where he remains with life threatening injuries.

Randy Peter Bier, age 48, and Peter Charles Bier, age 21,of 54 Cathcart Street, Apt 2, have been charged with attempted murder. They have been remanded in custody and will appear in court on April 8.

Detectives from the Major Crime Unit are investigating. The house at 54 Cathcart Street has been cordoned off by police pending examination by the Forensic Identification Unit.
