Stabbing incident leads to assault charge

On July 25, 2017, officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 33-year-old Travas Bourcier of Sudbury, Ont. in relation to a stabbing investigation. 

It is alleged that on July 25, the accused engaged in an altercation with a male that is known to him. The accused then (allegedly) stabbed the victim multiple times and left the area. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The accused was located a short distance away by officers and placed in custody. He has been charged with one count of assault with a weapon and was held for bail court.
