Sault woman charged with theft

Once in custody, Police discovered that she was wanted on an outstanding warrant

On March 7, 2018, officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service’s Break and Enter Unit arrested 30-year-old Patricia Martin of Albert Street West for theft.

It is alleged that on March 5 the accused attended a business in the 200 block of Bay Street where she took just under $500 from the till and left the business.

Officers located the accused on March 7 and she was taken into custody. Once in custody, it was found that she was wanted on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court. She has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and one count of failure to attend court. She was held for bail court.
