Sault woman accused of using bank cards that weren't hers . . . 18 times

On May 24, 2019, officers with the Patrol Services unit of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 35-year-old Raya Desmond of Wellington Street East on an outstanding warrant for theft and forgery. 

It’s alleged between March 1, 2019 and March 5, 2019, the accused made 18 transactions with two bank cards that didn’t belong to her. The total amount of the transactions were approximately $6,000. 

She was located on May 24, 2019 and arrested on an outstanding warrant.

She is charged with 18 counts of theft and forgery of credit card, two counts of theft of credit card, one count of possession of stolen property and one count of theft under $5,000. She was held for bail court.
