Sault woman accused of racking up $4,200 on credit cards that weren't hers

On March 14, 2019, officers with the Community Oriented Response and Enforcement team of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 36-year-old Heidi Barry of East Balfour Street with unauthorized use of a credit card.

Earlier this month, a complainant reported losing a wallet sometime between Feb. 24 and 26, 2019 and noticed multiple transactions from their accounts that they didn’t make.

It’s alleged between Feb. 27, 2019 and March 1, 2019 the accused made multiple transactions with bank cards that weren’t hers, totaling approximately $4,200. She is charged with 17 counts of unauthorized use of a credit card.

She is scheduled to appear in court on April 29, 2019.
