Sault man faces aggravated assault charges

On Oct. 19, 2019, officers with the Patrol Services and Investigation Services Units of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 31-year-old Justin Tessier for aggravated assault.

On Oct. 18, 2019, officers responded to a call of a confrontation between two male individuals in the area of Albert Street East and Bruce Street. One male was found to be in critical condition and was transported to the hospital.

The accused was arrested and is charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of breach of recognizance. He was held for bail court.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service wants to advise the public that this is an isolated incident in which the males were known to each other, there is no concern for public safety.
