SAULT STE. MARIE POLICE SERVICE

At approximately 4 a.m., officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service responded to a call for service regarding a deceased male that was located on the road near a residence in the 400 block of Morin Street.
The deceased had obvious life-threatening injuries and the initial information lead officers to a residence in the 400 block of Morin Street.
As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old male from Sault Ste. Marie has been taken into custody and charged with one count of second degree murder. The name of the accused cannot be released at this time as the charge information must be sworn to first. He will be held for WASH court.
The name of the deceased will not be released at this time.
