Sault man accused of stealing tablet valued at $248

On May 14, 2019, officers with the Break and Enter and Patrol Services units of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 53-year-old Rene Quesnel of Chapple Avenue for theft. 

It’s alleged on April 8, 2019, the accused attended a business in the 400 block of Great Northern Road, selected a tablet valued at approximately $248 and left the store without attempting to pay for it. 

The accused was located on May 14, 2019 and taken into custody. He is charged with one count of theft under $5,000.

He is scheduled to appear in court on June 17, 2019.
