Sault man accused of pushing victim off second-floor balcony

The victim suffered major, non-life threatening injuries

A man suffered major injuries on Sunday when he was pushed from a second-storey balcony on East Street, police say.

In a press release issued today, Sault Ste. Marie Police said officers responded to a call on Sunday around 5:30 p.m. of a male falling from a second-storey balcony in the 0-100 block of East St.

Police say the man, whose injuries were not life-threatening, was pushed and that the attack is believed to have been unprovoked.

Joshua Dodge, 30, was charged with aggravated assault.

He was held for bail court.
