On July 16, 2016, City Police responded to a call in the area of Hughes Street. Investigation revealed that a lone male allegedly was entering a bedroom window and was confronted by the occupant of the residence. The accused was chased out and police apprehended the suspect shortly thereafter. The accused stated he entered the wrong residence while he was attempting to purchase marijuana. Police arrested the accused Gordon Earl Hassard, age 25, for unlawfully in a dwelling house and breach of probation. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on August 22, 2016 at 9 a.m.
