On April 16, 2019 officers with the Break and Enter unit of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 37-year-old Chad Wonsiak of Saskatchewan for robbery.

It’s alleged on April 16, 2019 the accused approached someone on Bay Street, attempted to steal a package from the person, then challenged them to a fight and ripped the persons jacket off of them. The person called out for help and police were called, and the accused fled the scene. 

He was located by police a short time later. After he was taken into custody officers found him to be in possession of a weapon. He is charged with one count of robbery and one count of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. He was held for bail court.
