Police seize weapons, drugs after call of man in possession of a gun

Suspect was also wanted on an outstanding warrant

Police have seized suspected drugs and weapons after receiving a call about a man with a gun in the 300 block of Albert St. East yesterday afternoon.

Police report responding to the call around 1 p.m., and seizing the following items:

  • a bb gun
  • two canisters of repellent spray
  • two grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine
  • 18 tablets of suspected oxycodone
  • two tablets of suspected apo-methylphenidate.

The estimated value of the substances seized is $1,180.

Police also say the accused was wanted for failing to attend court.

As a result, 27-year-old Kevin Morin was arrested and charged with three counts of breach of recognizance, two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon and three counts of possession of a controlled substance. He was held for bail court.
