Sault Police have charged Adrianna Costello with theft and possession of a controlled substance following an incident that occurred Saturday night at a McNabb Street business.
A news release issued today alleges that the accused took approximately $637 worth of merchandise from a store before she was apprehended by security staff.
During a search of the accused, officers located a small amount of suspected methamphetamine.
The 29-year-old stands charged with theft under $5,000 and possession of a controlled substance, is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 4.
