Police seize suspected fentanyl, stolen bike from Sault man

A Sault man has been accused of possessing fentanyl, and a stolen bicycle.

Sault Police say they responded to a 8:34 p.m. call for service in the 100 block of Elgin Street yesterday.

Upon arrival, police say the accused was in possession of a bicycle that was reported stolen in Jun 2020.

A subsequent search found the accused to be in possession approximately 1.36 grams of suspected fentanyl, according to police.

As a result, 42-year-old Bruce Golden was arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a controlled substance and two counts of breach of recognizance.

He was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on July 21, 2021.
