Police seek witnesses to Friday car crash on John Street

Police are seeking more information on a car crash that took place on Friday in the 300 block of John St.

Sault Police say on Nov. 27, officers responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a white four-door Toyota Corolla and a gold or tan coloured Chevrolet sedan near the intersection of John St. and St. George's Ave. W.

In a press release issued today, officers report both vehicles were travelling northbound when the Toyota came to a stop as the vehicle in front of it was waiting to turn west into an area business. At this time, police say the Chevrolet struck the Toyota, rear-ending it.

The driver and passenger in the Toyota were later transported to hospital with minor injuries.

Police say the male driver of the Chevrolet yelled at the driver and passenger in the Toyota and drove away.

The man in the Chevrolet is described as being in his late 20s or early 30s, caucasian, with a shaved head.

Police are looking for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have dash cam or video surveillance of the area at the time of the collision.
