Sault Police are seeking witnesses to a weekend collision that killed a 48-year-old cyclist.
Officers reported that the cyclist was struck by a motor vehicle on the 1000 block of Peoples Road shortly after midnight on Saturday.
He was transported to the hospital with major injuries where he later died. The lone occupant of the motor vehicle was not injured.
No charges have been laid, as police are still investigating the incident.
Sault Ste. Marie Police are now asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have witnessed a bicycle in the area prior to the collision to contact the traffic unit at 705-949-6300 ext. 348.
