A Sault woman has been charged with refusing to provide a breath sample.

Police say on Thursday around 8 p.m., they responded to a call of a woman lying on the ground in a parking lot next to a vehicle in the 1200 block of Trunk Rd.

Police say they smelled alcohol on the accused when speaking with her and saw open alcohol in the vehicle next to her.

In a press release issued today, police say the accused was driving the vehicle and was given the opportunity to provide breath samples but refused to do so.

Geraldine Wheesk, 23, has been arrested and charged with refusing to provide a suitable breath sample, driving while prohibited and breach of probation.

She is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 28, 2020.
