Police say man had a couple bullets, possibly some crack

On Aug. 2, 2018 officers with the Break and Enter Unit of The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 36 year old Henry Cadreau of James Street for theft.

It is alleged that on July 21, 2018 the accused attended a business in the 200-block of Bay Street.  [It is alleged] the accused took a bicycle that was parked in a rack outside and left with it. 

Officers located the accused on Aug. 2 and he was taken into custody.  Upon his arrest officers found the accused to be in possession of 2 rounds of 22 caliber ammunition and a small amount of a substance believed to be crack cocaine. 

At the time the accused was bound by 2 weapon prohibition orders that include a condition that he not possesses ammunition, a probation order that includes a condition that he keep the peace and a recognizance that includes a condition that he not possess or consume unlawful drugs or substances.

The accused has been charged with;

  • One count of theft under $5,000
  • 2 counts of breach of probation,
  • One count of possession of a controlled substance,
  • One count of breach of recognizance, and;
  • 2 counts of possession of ammunition in contravention of a court order

He was held for bail court.
