5 p.m. update:
An arrest was made after officers responded to a shooting in the 1500 block of Wellington Street East this afternoon and found two people suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victims were transported to hospital, their condition unknown at this time.
Police say the accused and the victims are known to each other.
One person was arrested and remains in police custody and the investigation is ongoing.

Armed tactical officers and about a dozen police vehicles were on the scene in the area of the 1500 block of Wellington Street East this afternoon.
The nature of the police activity is unknown at this time.
An ambulance could be seen leaving the scene with lights and sirens on.
The Algoma District School Board issued a hold and secure order at nearby Anna McCrea Public School this afternoon, citing "an external situation in the neighbourhood."
The hold and secure has since been lifted. Other schools in the area may have been affected.
