Police respond to domestic incident, dangerous driving charge laid

Accused allegedly drove his vehicle towards the victim and swerved at the last moment narrowly missing the victim’s vehicle

On Sept. 22, 2017, officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 36-year-old male in relation to a domestic violence incident. 

It is alleged that just before 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 22, the accused attended the residence of his ex-girlfriend. The accused engaged in an argument with her and she left the area in her motor vehicle. 

The accused then drove his motor vehicle towards the victim in her lane of travel. He swerved at the last moment narrowly missing the victim’s vehicle and left the area.

The accused was later located by police and arrested. He has been charged with one count dangerous driving. He will appear in court on Nov. 6, 2017.
