Officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service are currently on scene in the 100 block of Boundary Road, where an individual is barricaded inside of a residence.
Details are limited at this time, but police responded between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m Sunday morning.
The Ballistic Armoured Tactical Transport (BATT) vehicle, Mobile Command Unit and members of fire services are also on scene.
Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is urging the public to avoid the area.
