Police have released the scene where a woman's body was found on Monday morning in the West Street and Portage Lane area.
In a press release issued this afternoon, police say they are no longer holding the scene and that evidence gathering in the area has concluded.
Police say analysis of the evidence and further investigation is ongoing.
Sault Ste.Marie Police said yesterday that the death is being treated as a homicide.
