4:57 p.m. update - Motor vehicle collision at Third Line
Just after 3 p.m officers with the Traffic Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service responded to a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle at the intersection of Allen’s Side Road and Third Line.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 50 year old male from Sault Ste. Marie, was transported to hospital from the scene with life threatening injuries.
At this time the intersection is closed to allow officers to safely conduct the investigation. We ask all motorists to use caution, take alternate routes, and avoid this area until the investigation has been completed.

City police are at the scene of what is believed to be a motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle at the corner of Allens Side Road and Third Line.
A city police cruiser was parked at the corner of Allens Side Road and Palomino Drive, rerouting traffic.
No other information was available from police.
An ambulance and two fire trucks could be seen leaving the area.
