On Jan. 27, 2017 officers with the Technological Crime Unit of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 50-year-old Jason Bishop of Los Osos, California for child pornography related offences.
It is alleged that just before 10 p.m. on Jan. 27, the accused attempted to cross the border from the United States into Canada. At the time he was found to be in possession of multiple digital child exploitation images.
He was arrested by officers at the Canadian Border and charged with one count of possession of child pornography and one count of exporting child pornography. Was held in custody to attend bail court and the investigation is continuing.
