A 34-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday after Sault Police investigated her claims regarding an attempted abduction.
A news release issued today by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service states that K.C. McAllister reported on Sunday that a man attempted to pull her into his vehicle on Albert Street. She also posted about the alleged encounter on social media.
Following an investigation, officers with Investigation Services believe that the accused had provided false information, both in her police report and on social media.
McAllister has been charged with public mischief and is scheduled to appear in court Oct. 5.
