One dies at Cathcart Street fire

NEWS RELEASE
SAULT STE MARIE POLICE SERVICE

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is currently investigating a suspicious fire in the 500 block of Cathcart Street. One person who was in the building at the time of the fire has died.

The cause of death is unknown at this time. 

The Ontario Fire Marshall’s office has been called in to assess the scene. More details will be released as they become available.
