One arrested after alleged parking lot head punching

Police say it started with a verbal argument

On Jan. 15, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 28-year-old Cameron McDonald of Albert West Street for assault.

It is alleged that on Jan. 15, 2017 the accused engaged in a verbal argument with a male known to him in the parking lot of a business on Northern Avenue. 

The accused is alleged to have assaulted the victim by punching him in the head, pushing him to the ground and kicking him repeatedly. 

The accused left the area and police were contacted. Officers later located the accused and arrested him for one count of assault and one count of breach of probation. He will appear in court on Feb. 27, 2017.
