On Friday, Feb. 17, 2017 officers with the Criminal Investigations Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 24-year-old Cody Quesnel for one count of first degree murder as a result of the ongoing investigation into the homicide of Jacob Davey on Jan. 14, 2017.

It is also alleged that on Jan. 14, 2017 the accused assaulted a male and female known to him by punching them in the face. 

The accused further [is alleged to have] threatened to kill two females known to him, and forcibly confined them in his residence at 112 Wellington Street West in Sault Ste. Marie.

Mr. Quesnel has now been charged with one count of first degree murder, two counts of assault, two counts of forcible confinement, and two counts of uttering threats.  He is scheduled to appear in bail court today.
