Motorcycle collision closes section of Trunk Road (updated)

Crash near McDonald's is under investigation

Update 8:20 p.m. 

Sault Police Service spokesperson Lincoln Louttit told SooToday the male driver of the motorcycle was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of the sedan is an 85-year-old female. 

The investigation is ongoing.

Original story 7:30 p.m.

A two-vehicle collision involving a gray four-door sedan and a motorcycle occurred early Monday evening on Trunk Road outside the McDonald's restaurant exit.

Sault Ste. Marie Police Service closed Trunk Road between Black Road and Boundary Road after the collision, reopening it at 7:30 p.m. 

The cause of the collision and extent of injuries to those involved are not known at this time.
