On January 6, 2016 City Police attended at the Sault Area Hospital responding to a threatening call. Investigation revealed that after a verbal argument with hospital staff a male age 46 allegedly threatened to cause bodily harm to a staff member.

On January 6, 2016 City Police attended at the Sault Area Hospital responding to a threatening call.  Investigation revealed that after a verbal argument with hospital staff a male age 46 allegedly threatened to cause bodily harm to a staff member.  Police arrested Michael Todd Yaroshuk for threatening to cause bodily harm.  The accused is scheduled to appear in court on February 8, 2016 at 9:00 am.

On September 24, 2015 City Police responded to a domestic matter. It is alleged that a male age 26 was at the residence of a female that he had been in a relationship with in the past and was ordered by the courts not to be at the victim’s place of residence, work or education.  

Police arrested the accused for breach of a recognizance and breach of probation X 2.  The accused will appear in bail court on September 25, 2015 at 10 am.

On September 24, 2015 Sault Ste. Marie City Police travelled to Peterborough and arrested a male age 37 regarding an outstanding dated domestic violence warrant.  The accused is charged with assault, threatening, assault with a weapon and bodily harm: overcoming resistance to commission of offence (choking). The incidents occurred between October 1, 2014 and December 31, 2014.  The accused will appear in bail court on September 25, 2015 at 10 am.

GIRL CHARGED WITH STEALING VAN

A 16-year-old female was charged on Saturday with one count of theft and one count of possession of stolen property in connection with the theft of a 1985 Dodge Caravan. The van was taken from a residence where the owner of the vehicle and the accused were visiting on Friday night. The van was recovered by the O.P.P. in the Tower Lake area. The accused will appear in court on October 23rd.

B & E AT STRATHCLAIR
Officers were called to a break-in on Friday at Strathclair field. Police were called on Friday morning after workers discovered one of the buildings had been entered. Stolen was a green 2000 Yamaha ATV.

BREAK & ENTER
Officers are investigating a break and enter at an apartment in the 100 block of Albert Street east early Sunday morning. A piggy bank and tin box both containing cash were taken.
