TRAFFIC ACCIDENT
City police were called to the intersection of Pine and Wellington Streets yesterday morning at 9:13. A 1993 Nissan operated by Emily Colombo, age 58, of Queen Street East was northbound on Pine Street when it collided with a vehicle that was westbound on Wellington. The second vehicle, a 1996 Ford Taurus, was driven by 43-year-old Peggy Siddall of Echo Bay. There were no injuries but damage to both vehicles is severe. Siddall was issued a summons for a red light infraction.

YOUTH CHARGED WITH ASSAULT
Police were called to the area of William Merrifield School last evening at 9:00 to investigate an assault. A 17-year-old male had assaulted two other young males. During the assault, it is alleged that the accused attempted to light a firecracker in the ears of his victims. It is also alleged that he stabbed the throat of one victim with a rock. The accused showed up at the residence of one victim at which time he assaulted the father of the victim. Police located the accused a s
