25-year-old Gordon Hassard of Wellington Street East was arrested for breaching a condition of an undertaking which he was released on earlier this week. It is alleged he was communicating with another male person with whom he was on conditions not to do so. He will be appearing in Provincial Court on August 22.
City police attended to a two-vehicle collision on Airport Road at approximately 10:30 p.m. on July 17. Investigation revealed that a southbound vehicle allegedly swerved into the northbound lane coming into contact with a northbound vehicle which swerved out of the way in time to avoid a serious collision. The driver of the northbound vehicle was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Further investigation by officers on scene led them to charge 56-year-old Egidio Tessariol of Nakomis Beach Road with careless driving, impaired driving and after completing breath tests performed at the City Police Station, a charge of over .08 was added as well. The accused will appear in Provincial Court August 22.
