The 1988 Chevrolet S10 led police through several streets. On Sackville Road near Second Line, a spike belt was deployed deflating two of the vehicle's tires. The S10 continued east on Second Line and attempted to turn left in order to proceed north on Old Garden River Road. At this point the driver lost control and put the vehicle in the ditch.

The passengers were not injured and the vehicle received moderate damage. Charged with numerous offences is Richard Maki, age 38, of Montgomery Avenue. Maki will appear in bail court today.
