WEEKEND TRAFFIC ACCIDENT City police had a fairly quiet weekend with only one accident from Friday evening to report. Patrol officers were called to the intersection of Huron and St. George's Avenue at 8:30pm Friday.

City police had a fairly quiet weekend with only one accident from Friday evening to report. Patrol officers were called to the intersection of Huron and St. George's Avenue at 8:30pm Friday.

A 1998 Chevrolet operated by 20-year-old Scott Cobb of Sarnia, Ontario, was northbound on Huron Street when he collided with a 1997 Ford operated by Stephen Lycopolus, age 18, of Country Club Place.

Lycoplus received minor injuries as did a passenger in the Cobb Vehicle, Alana Soltys, age 19, of Sarnia was also treated for minor injuries. Both vehicles received moderate damage. Lycopolus was issued a ticket for failing to yield.

On April 16 at 10:00 a.m., the Sault Police Services will be raising the flag of the Windsor Police at the Sault building due to the Windsor Spitfires' defeat of the Greyhounds during the first round of the playoffs.
