Michigan woman faces impaired charge

Police say officers observed a vehicle on Trunk Road moving between the eastbound lanes without signalling

On Feb. 26, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 48-year-old Karen Larson of Marquette, Michigan for an impaired driving incident.

It is alleged that just after midnight, officers observed the accused operating her motor vehicle eastbound on Trunk Road moving between the eastbound lanes without signaling.

Officers conducted a traffic stop and determined that the accused’s ability to operate the motor vehicle was impaired by alcohol. 

The accused was arrested and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of operating a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol level that was over the legal limit. She will appear in court on Mar. 27, 2017.
