Man injured in Saturday morning Jamestown shooting (photo added)

Police say all necessary resources are being diverted to ensure public safety

At approximately 9 a.m. on Nov. 11, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service responded to a call for service regarding a shooting in the 500 block of Cathcart Street. 

Upon arrival officers located a lone male victim who was suffering from a gun shot wound. The victim was transported to the hospital via ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

At this time it is not known if the victim and suspect(s) are known to each other. Officers with the Investigation Services Division are continuing the investigation and anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at (705) 949 6300.
