Man faces two counts of break and enter

After being chased off by the homeowner, it is alleged the accused returned the next morning and attempted to get into the residence again

On Sept. 28, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 23-year-old Joshua Wilson of Second Avenue with regards to a break and enter.

It is alleged that on Sept. 26, 2017 at 10 p.m. the accused entered the residence of a person known to him by forcing the door open. The homeowner returned home and found the accused inside the residence (allegedly) taking several items. When confronted, the accused fled the scene but returned the next morning and attempted to get into the residence again. The accused was again confronted by the homeowner and fled the scene.

Police were contacted after the second incident and then located the accused on Sept. 28, 2017. The accused was taken into custody and has been charged with;

  • two counts of break and enter,
  • two counts of breach of recognizance, and;
  • One count of breach of probation

He will appear in bail court today.
