On March 16, 2018, officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 32-year-old Marc Major of Taskar Drive for theft.
It is alleged that the accused attended a business in the 600 block of Trunk Road where he selected just under $170 worth of merchandise before leaving the store without paying. The accused was apprehended by store security and held for police.
He has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and one count of breach of probation. He will appear in court on April 23, 2018.
