Man apprehended by store security charged with theft

On Sept. 24, 2017, officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 25-year-old Calvin Lynn of Queen Street East for a theft.

It is alleged that the accused attended a retail store in the 200 block of McNabb Street where he selected $160 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying. The accused was apprehended by store security and held for police.

He has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and he will appear in court on Oct. 23, 2017.
