Man accused of throwing vase at a store employee

Police say the victim wasn't hurt, but the vase was damaged as a result

Police say they've arrested someone for assault with a weapon after an incident that took place yesterday afternoon.

In a media release, Sault Ste. Marie Police say they responded to a call around 2:05 p.m. yesterday after the accused went into a business in the 500 block of Queen Street East and tried to enter a secure area.

After being asked to leave by staff, the accused allegedly threw a vase at a victim. The vase missed the victim but it did sustain some damage as a result. 

Police were called and found the accused in the area.

As a result, Michael Huluk, 23, was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and mischief to property under $5,000.

He was held for bail court.
