Sault Ste. Marie Police say they've arrested someone for break and enter after an incident that took place earlier this week.

A news release issued today states that officers responded to an alarm around 1:55 a.m. yesterday morning at a business in the 600 block of John Street.

When they arrived, police say they saw a man with a generator. After speaking with him, he identified himself as the accused. Further investigation showed a lock had been cut and the generator had been taken from that area of the business.

Police say they also found bolt cutters, two flashlights and a box cutter after searching the accused.

As a result, Riky Ferguson-Denis, 25, was arrested and charged with break and enter, possession of break in tools, mischief under $5,000, and breach of probation.

He was held for bail court.
