On Nov. 12, 2018 officers with the Break and Enter Unit of The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 43-year-old John Jamieson of no fixed address for robbery.
It is alleged that on Oct. 18, 2018, the accused approached an elderly woman that was walking in the 200 block of McNabb Street. The accused approached her from behind and grabbed her purse. The woman was thrown against a vehicle and the accused fled the scene with her purse that contained various items including an amount of cash.
The accused later attended the police services building on Nov. 12 and he was placed in custody. He has been charged with one count of robbery. He was held for bail court.
