Man accused of forcible confinement

He also stands accused of assaulting the victim by pulling her around the residence and threatening to kill her

On Nov. 6, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 49-year-old male in relation to a domestic violence incident. 

It is alleged that sometime between Aug. 1 and Sept. 30 of 2017, the accused confined his girlfriend to a bedroom not allowing her to leave. It is also alleged that in November of 2017, the accused assaulted the victim by pulling her around the residence and threatened to kill her.

The accused was located by police on Nov. 6 and taken into custody. He has been charged with one count of uttering threats, one count of assault and one count of forcible confinement. He was held for bail court.
