Sault Ste. Marie Police say they've arrested someone for possesion of stolen property after an incident that took place last week.

In a release issued today, police say that on Friday, they arrested a man in the 0-100 block of Pawating Place during an unrelated incident when they noticed a Honda motorcycle at the residence.

Officers followed up the next day and saw that the motorcycle had allegedly been altered and the ignition had been tampered with.

Yesterday, while already in custody at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre, officers with Patrol Services arrested Eugene Dubois, 39, and he was charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000.

He was held for bail court.
