Local man charged with theft

It is alleged the accused selected just under $400 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying

On Jan. 20, 2018 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 52-year-old Ronald Masse of Albert Street West for theft. 

It is alleged that at 6 p.m. the accused entered a store in the 100-block of Churchill Boulevard where he selected just under $400 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying. The accused was apprehended by store security and held for police. 

He has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000 and he will appear in court on Mar. 5, 2018.
