Local man accused of threatening store staff

Police say he left the store without paying for his items

On July 28, 2019 officers with the Patrol Services Unit of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 22-year-old Michael Huluk of East Street for robbery. 

On July 27, 2019, the accused attended a business in the 100 block of Churchill Boulevard, selected an unknown quantity of items from the shelves and [allegedly] left without attempting to pay. Store staff attempted to stop the accused, at this time it’s alleged he threatened them with violence and left the area. 

He was located on July 28, 2019, and taken into custody. He is charged with one count of robbery and two counts of breach of probation. He was held for bail court.
