Large generator seen being dragged through alleyway. Theft charges follow

On March 20, 2019, officers with the Patrol Services division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 38-year-old Joseph Premo of Second Line West for theft under $5,000.

It’s alleged the accused and an unknown male were seen dragging a large generator down an alleyway in the west end of the city. Officers attended the area and located the accused inside a residence with the generator. Police determined the generator was stolen and took the accused into custody.

He is charged with one count of theft under $5,000, one count of possession of stolen property, one count of possession of break in tools and one count of mischief under $5,000.
