Hudson Street man accused of break and enter

On Sept. 24, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 25-year-old Thomas Agawa of Hudson Street in relation to a break and enter.

It is alleged that just after 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 24, the accused broke into a garage in the 200 block of Alexandra Street. The accused took some items from the garage and then went through a vehicle in the driveway causing damage to the vehicle.

The accused was located in the vehicle by the owner and police were contacted. Police soon after attended and the accused was taken into custody. Once in custody, it was found that the accused had a tool for breaking windows in his possession as well as items stolen from the garage.

He has been charged with one count of break and enter, one count of possession of property obtained by crime, one count of possession of break in tools, one count of mischief under $5,000, and one count of breach of probation. He was held for bail court.
